Practice + Game Reminder
by posted 05/06/2021

Hey Mariners!

Wow, that was a hot one last weekend. We had kids bow out of the lineup. We needed water breaks. We should have had our conditioning coach prep them a bit more. But the kids did great regardless!

We'll be at practice tomorrow at 5-6pm and our game v. the Giants at 12-1:30pm on Saturday. Both at Enrietto West. Looking forward to seeing you all.

Thanks!

P.S. The Sandlot....

Squints:  Where did your old man get that ball?
Smalls: I don't know. Some lady gave it to him. She even signed her name on it... Ruth. Baby Ruth.
All: BABE RUTH?!
Smalls: I was gonna put the ball back.
Squints: But it was signed by Babe Ruth!
Smalls: Yeah, you keep telling me that! Who is she?
Ham Porter: WHAT?! WHAT?!
Kenny: The sultan of swat!
Bertram: The king of crash!
Timmy: The colossus of clout!
Tommy: The colossus of clout!
All: BABE RUTH!
Ham Porter: THE GREAT BAMBINO!
Smalls: Oh, my God! You mean that's the same guy?!

Hey Mariners!

Holy moly, our kids did so great last weekend in their first big game! Thanks to all of you with such an incredible turnout and supporting our little t-ballers.

The weather is beautiful today and tomorrow, and I'm looking forward to seeing the kids on the field again for practice this evening at 5pm - Enrietto West. And then tomorrow, Saturday, 2-3:30pm at Louisville Sports Complex SE for our second game. It'll be exciting to have the team's first game in the big "stadium"!

Coach Greg

P.S. “That’s one of the great gifts of this, the greatest of all games, baseball: it allows you, still, to lose yourself in a dream, to feel and remember a season of life when summer never seemed to die and the assault of cynicism hadn’t begun to batter optimism.” – Mike Barnicle
